Paddle Sports w/ Canoes and Kayaks
Oswegatchie is fortunate to have 4 large ponds on the property that offer superb paddling opportunities and splendid views. Groups can schedule an excursion guided by an Oswegatchie staff member. Your tripstake advantage of the natural lessons that exist around each bend and on the team work it takes to navigate a boat.
We offer a 3 hour or 6 hour program option. Groups will spend time both on the water and on the shore. We have several types of kayaks and canoes, larger groups will have a mix. Each program will have the option to “portage” over a small ridge. This program is not only a great way to spend a day outside, but a great way to connect as a group. This program is suited for students in the 6th grade or higher, and is perfect for adults of any age! Your guided excursion will be lead by a trained Oswegatchie staff member and all participants will be required to wear a personal flotation device. We recommend that all participants are comfortable in and around water. The seasons and weather greatly impact this program. This is a good program for 6th graders and older students. Perfect for adults of any age. Special evening times are available. |
